Guinea: General Strike goes on |

Labor Unions in Guinea have issued a statement calling for the continuation of the strike that has paralysed this west african country for several days now....
The statement calls on all government employees to continue the strike until labor demands are met. It calls on the government to negotiate in good faith and abandon tactics to break the strike. It says that the government can meet labor demands by reducing government spending, corruption and waste.
What impact this strike will have on high schools exams scheduled for Monday June 12, 2006 is not yet known.
